Meet Principal Walker!

Welcome Principal Walker

Reynolds School District is excited to introduce you to your new Principal for the 2022-2023 school year!

Shelley Walker is a long-time educator for the Reynolds School District, she is familiar with the great work that's been happening at Woodland Elementary School, and she is eager to support students and partner with the community.

Prior to coming to Woodland Elementary School, she attended Concordia University, Portland where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education, a Master of Education in Education Administration and began a second Master of Education program in Special Education. 

Walker started teaching for the Reynolds School District in 2006 and was a classroom teacher at Hartley, Fairview, and Salish Ponds Elementary Schools. Additionally, Walker has been an After-School Program Coordinator, Restorative Practices TOSA, and School Improvement TOSA. Most recently, Walker has the honor of serving as the Principal of Salish Ponds Elementary School where she prioritizes safety, relationships, and leads with equity.

Walker will officially begin at Woodland Elementary School on July 1st to prepare for the upcoming school year. She has already met many staff and she looks forward to meeting the rest of the community in the Fall.
