Comcast Cares Day Transforms Woodland Elementary School

Comcast Cares visited Woodland Elementary School on Saturday, April 30, 2016 and transformed the campus!

With the help of about 100 volunteers, which included students, staff and community members, the team was able to make the campus shine!

The day began early that morning with a pancake breakfast before getting to work.  Volunteers spent the day spreading bark dust, removing weeds, painting, wiping down classroom desks, and making love rocks. There was also time for some friendly competition with wheelbarrow races and practicing aim with giant tape balls. The day was a lot of fun for everyone involved!

We are so grateful for all the work our volunteers and Comcast Cares did and for Portland Community ToolBank for renting us all the equipment needed to make the day a success.
