Fernando Contreras, Reynolds Learning Academy Junior Honored by City of Gresham’s Young Citizen Program

The City of Gresham honored Fernando Contreras, junior at Reynolds Learning Academy for his academic ability and positive attitude towards school. Mr. Contreras has nearly perfect attendance and has extreme improvement in his grade point average. When he was asked what has contributed to his success while at Reynolds Learning Academy, Mr. Contreras stated, “I used to hang out with the wrong crowd and had difficulty receiving help in school.  Since coming to RLA, I have found new, positive friends and have taken advantage of the assistance available to support my academics.” After high school Mr. Contreras would like to study Culinary Arts and become a Chef.
